For the perfect excuse to eat with your hands, look no further than the humble yet delicious chicken wing. Thankfully, several restaurants in Dublin have perfected the art of the wing, serving up amazing taste sensations to suit every palate.

In this post, we share the best chicken wings in Dublin.

Map of Restaurants

The following map shows the location of every restaurant highlighted in this post:

Elephant and Castle

The first name on our list will come as no surprise to Dubliners – the chicken wings offered up by Elephant and Castle are among the best in the country. Famous for serving up big portions of wings perfectly lathered in sauce, the prices are also excellent value for a city centre restaurant.

The only downside is ensuring you get a table – we recommend visiting just before or after the typical lunchtime rush hours.

Location: 18-19 Temple Bar, Dublin

TriBeCa

Coming in hot on the heels of Elephant and Castle is TriBeCa, located in the upmarket South Dublin suburb of Ranelagh. Also justly famous for the quality of its chicken wings, TriBeCa serve them up with celery and a creamy Cashel blue cheese dip.

That the restaurant has been delighting Dubliners since 2001 is a testament to the quality and service on offer.

Location: 65 Ranelagh, Dublin

Pickle

While an Indian restaurant is not the most likely place you would expect to find delicious chicken wings, Pickle on Camden Street in the city centre serve up some unforgettable wings.

Their Fauzi chicken wings are cooked to perfection and tossed in shallots, roasted tomato and topped with coconut chutney. If you’re looking for chicken wings with flavours beyond the usual, look no further than Pickle.

Location: 43 Camden Street Lower, Saint Peter’s, Dublin

Farmer Browns

Farmer Browns serve up huge portions of very large, succulent wings dripping in hot sauce. While definitely not for those who prefer their wings on the milder side, there is delicious blue cheese dip to dim the heat on every bite for those who require it.

Although there are a number of Farmer Browns locations across the city, we recommend the Rathmines restaurant with its sun terrace for the perfect spot to enjoy some tasty wings washed down with an ice cold beer.

Location: 170 Rathmines Road Lower, Rathmines, Dublin

Canal Bank Cafe

A sister restaurant to Tribeca, Canal Bank Cafe in the city centre serve up similarly excellent wings.

Location: 146 Leeson Street Upper, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Wishbone

Chicken wings are the main focus of the excellent Wishbone restaurant, where sticky BBQ and buffalo wings are served up alongside sauces of the week. Don’t forget to order some of the fantastic dips including blue cheese and onion jam.
